Located near the beautiful Lake Balaton and just 85 km from Budapest, the circuit was opened in May 2023. It measures 4.08 km and features 17 corners in total: 10 left-handers and 7 right-handers, with a longest straight of 665 meters. The track made its debut in the World Championship this weekend and it represented a new experience for all the riders, racing here for the very first time.

The first day had its challenges for both Honda Team Asia riders who struggled to find the right pace while adapting to the brand-new circuit. Taiyo Furusato suffered a crash in the first practice session, losing valuable time on track. He got the 15th time in the afternoon session.
Fadillah Aditama – continuing to replace the injured Tatchakorn Buasri – got the 24th time at the end of the day.

The second day was quite better. Under sunny and windy conditions, Taiyo and Fadillah pushed hard from the morning sessions to secure strong grid positions. Furusato started the day in impressive form (close to the top ten) and delivered an outstanding performance in Q1. During Q2, the Japanese rider set a very good lap on his first run alone, but he crashed during his second time-attack run and this prevented him from improving further, lining up 12th on the grid.
His teammate Fadillah Arbi Aditama showed progress, reducing the gap to the others and demonstrating clear adaptation to the new track. He got the 22nd position on the grid.

In the race, after a good start from the fourth row, Furusato positioned into the second group, trying to close the gap to the leaders. He fought between 8th and 10th positions for most of the race, showing strong pace and confidence. Unfortunately, with four laps to go, Taiyo crashed at Turn 1 (the same corner that had troubled him throughout the weekend) and he lost the opportunity to score points.
Fadillah Aditama, at his second race with the team, showed improvement compared to the previous weekend. He crossed the finish line 20th.
Next stop: the Grand Prix of Catalunya in two weeks!

MOTO3: TAIYO FURUSATO #72
Grid P12- Race DNF

It’s a shame, I made the same mistake as yesterday on Turn 1, and I’m deeply sorry for my team. They worked so hard and well the whole weekend, putting the bike perfectly ready for the race, and my mistakes cost us too much. I take responsibility for this and I really hope it doesn’t happen again.
The feeling with the bike was correct, but we didn’t have that extra that let us catch up with the leading group. Still, we were in a good position to try to fight for the top of the second group at the end of the race. Unfortunately, I crashed but now the race it’s already over. It’s time to keep pushing — very soon we race in Barcelona at Montmeló, and we have to be ready for that.

MOTO3: FADILLAH ARBI ADITAMA #93
Grid P22- Race P20

First of all, I want to say thank you so much to Honda Team Asia, HRC and all the staff who helped me a lot during this weekend. I tried my best in the race. The speed was there, but I still need more confidence and race pace.
During the race I had one moment that cost me a lot and I lost the group. I tried to catch them back, but we had the same pace, so the gap stayed the same until the end. Anyway, thank you very much, I will train hard to be at my best for my next race.

HIROSHI AOYAMA – Team Manager

Regarding the Moto3 race here in Hungary, it has not been the best weekend for us. We came with clear objectives and the team worked very hard to prepare, but unfortunately the outcome was not what we expected. After the crash in qualifying yesterday, Furusato was not in his best condition, although he still gave his maximum effort today. He managed to fight inside the second group, moving up positions and running as high as P8. His pace was not bad, and it showed that he had the potential to finish with a strong result. Sadly, with four laps to go, he made a mistake at Turn 1 — the same corner that had been a weak point throughout the weekend — and crashed. Fortunately he is okay, but it is disappointing because once again the work of the whole team was not rewarded with points. This situation has happened several times already this season, and it is important that we don’t simply attribute it to bad luck. He must show clear progression and reduce these mistakes, otherwise it will continue to be difficult not only for him, but also for the whole team who puts in a big effort every weekend. On the other hand, for Aditama, this was only his second weekend racing with us this season, and we could already see some improvements compared to his debut. His pace was not yet close enough to the main group, and he still needs to gain more confidence to manage the battles during the race. However, he is working hard and step by step he is getting closer. We hope in the next races he can continue to reduce the gap and show further progression. Overall, weekends like this are tough for the whole team, but I appreciate the commitment and dedication of everyone involved — mechanics, staff, riders, and our supporters. We will keep pushing together to turn things around, and I truly believe that with continued effort, better results will come soon. Finally, I would like to thank our sponsors and all the fans who stand by us in both the good and the difficult moments.

MIVV PRODUCTS FOR YOUR BIKE

Mivv silencers have been designed for a recreational use of the motorbike.
