With its rapid changes of direction, the track is very technical and fast and it’s one of the most appreciated among riders.

The first day was marked by unpredictable weather conditions: a light rain combined with strong winds made the FP1 tricky and demanding. In the afternoon, the track was completely dry but both Taiyo and Tatchakorn finished outside the provisional Q2 positions, ending the day respectively in 17th and 21st place.

The second day began with clear improvements during the final Free Practice session where both riders focused on the pace.
The Q1 was chaotic, especially in the final minutes, but Furusato secured his spot in Q2, while Buasri couldn’t complete a final time attack lap due to traffic. The Thai rider finished 20th.
In Q2 Furusato showed his best performance of the weekend, by getting the 4th position on the grid (second row) with a strong final lap.

The race was demanding from start to finish and also one of the most unfortunate Sundays of the season for the Moto3 Honda Team Asia.
Furusato didn’t start well from the second row and lost several positions in the first laps. A contact with another rider made him slip outside the point zone but the Japanese rider made a brilliant comeback. With determination Taiyo overtook rider after rider and rejoined the battle for the podium.
Unfortunately, two laps to go a rider in front of him crashed and Furusato was caught in the incident too, thankfully without serious consequences for all the riders involved.
His teammate Tatchakorn Buasri also suffered misfortune. He lost control of the bike in a highside and crashed out at Turn 5 on lap 16. Medical checks revealed a small luxation in his right shoulder.

A bit of rest before the German Gp, in two weeks, at Sachsenring!

MOTO3: TAIYO FURUSATO #72
Grid P4 – Race DNF

It’s a real shame what happened to us today in the Netherlands. After a tricky start, I managed to recover and gradually felt more comfortable on the bike. My confidence was growing and the pace was good enough to fight for a good race result. Unfortunately, the incident at the chicane was decisive for us.
It’s frustrating, because we had done a great job throughout the weekend. The bike was performing well and we were in a good position to achieve something important. It’s tough to accept, but there’s nothing more we can do now. We need to look ahead — in two weeks we have a double-header, first in Sachsenring and then Brno. I’m ready to give it my all in those races and turn this disappointment into motivation. Lastly, thanks to the team for their unconditional support. I’ll fight to repay their efforts with a great result soon

MOTO3: TATCHAKORN BUASRI #5
Grid P20 – Race DNF

It’s tough to accept and I’m honestly quite frustrated with how things turned out. We were fighting to get into the points, but during a battle with another rider I lost control of the bike and crashed. Our pace was good, we were right there, and without the crash I believe we could’ve finished close to the points zone.
It’s hard when things end like this — yesterday I had built up a lot of confidence ahead of the race, and the feeling on the bike was really strong. Of course, there are still many aspects to improve: both in terms of my riding and fine-tuning the bike setup, especially to ride more on my own without needing someone ahead of me as reference.
The crash was painful, but I hope there are no serious injuries. Now it’s time to rest and start preparing for the next race in Germany. It’s important to give 100%, and I’ll be ready to do that. Huge thanks to the whole team for their support — they’re helping me become a better rider, and I feel sorry especially for them. Better results will come soon.

HIROSHI AOYAMA – Team Manager

It was a good race in Moto3, at least until the crashes. Taiyo Furusato was in the top group, fighting for the podium — maybe even the victory. At one point, he had some contact with other riders, which dropped him back to P17, but from there he began a strong recovery. He made his way back up to P5 and was showing great potential to fight for a podium or the win.
Unfortunately, with just a few laps to go, a rider crashed right in front of him, and Taiyo had no chance to avoid it — he went down as well. Thankfully, he’s okay, but it’s a big disappointment as we lost a great opportunity today.
As for Tatchakorn, he was also close to the front group but crashed at Turn 5 on lap 16. It just wasn’t our day. He has a small injury to his shoulder, but the doctors have confirmed it’s nothing serious. He’ll need a bit of rest, but he’s okay.
The positive takeaway is that both riders are physically fine. Now we need to reset our mindset and focus on coming back stronger at the next race in Germany.

MIVV PRODUCTS FOR YOUR BIKE

Mivv silencers have been designed for a recreational use of the motorbike.
