After IRTA tests, tomorrow the curtains comes up on the first exciting day of the World Championship with the official free practice sessions starting at Losail, in Qatar.<\/p>\n

The work of the Honda Asia team, MIVV and the other technical suppliers started with Portugal tests and continued with the official tests of the last week here.<\/p>\n

MIVV is working closely with Honda in order to improve the NSF250R performance through its exhausts.<\/p>\n

Honda Asia Team is directly managed by Honda aiming at improving the bike and growing up Asian riders in the championship. Last year it got the third position in the world standing with the Japan rider Ai Ogura. This year the team is working with the young Japan rider Yuki Kunii (18 years old) and Andi Farid Izdihar (23) coming from Indonesia.<\/p>\n

From the Jerez test, I had a good feeling on the bike, and this allowed me to improve my riding style. But here in Qatar, I made some mistakes, losing the confidence I had. We tried to work in several ways, but I didn\u2019t recover all my confidence. At the end of the last day, the mistakes have prevented me from getting good lap time. But I\u2019m satisfied with the work we\u2019ve done. The only way is to continue working hard.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/strong>After these three days of testing in Qatar, I feel I\u2019ve made a big improvement riding this Moto3 bike. We planned to work step by step, from Portimao and Jerez until here. I\u2019m a little disappointed because, in the last moment, doing the long run, I\u2019ve crashed. Until that moment, I was working very well, riding confidence at an interesting pace. My best lap time doesn\u2019t reflect my real potential, and I feel motivated to show how can I do here.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter testing in Portimao and Jerez, both riders have done more than 100 laps total on three test days in Qatar. It hasn\u2019t an easy condition to work because of a lot of dust on the track, but we could see quite a good progression from both. Last day we tried to do a race simulation. Unfortunately, Yuki had some issue on the bike, and he couldn\u2019t perform as he wanted. Andi crashes, and he couldn\u2019t finish the long run. What we\u2019ve seen on the test gave us a lot of information. Now we take a little bit of rest to recover energy for the start of the season. Because of the pandemic situation, it isn\u2019t easy to fight here to do tests, but many people help us prepare for these tests and the next races. So, we are happy to be here and happy to be ready to fight for the first Qatar races. We\u2019ll see what 2021 bring to us; we are very much looking forward to starting the season with our riders.\u201d<\/p>\n
