Thirteenth round of the season this weekend at the Buddh International Circuit, hosting a MotoGP World Championship race for the first time: a new country, a new circuit, and a new challenge for all the riders and teams.<\/p>\n

The Indian weekend marks the start of an intense Asian tour with eight races in ten weeks.<\/p>\n

The first day both Furusato and Aji start to become familiar with the layout and with the track and weather conditions.<\/p>\n

The second day they improve, especially Taiyo who gets the Q2 and the eight position on the grid.<\/p>\n

In the race, Furusato starts well, fighting with the front group riders. Unfortunately the Japanese rider crashes on the ninth lap without completing the race. Despite the final result, he accumulates a lot of experience that will be useful in the future.<\/p>\n

Aji finishes in 18th place, affected by the crash of another rider, which makes him lose contact with the group and any chance of a good result.<\/p>\n

Next stop: Japan!<\/p>\n

Another tough race. The long gear ratio didn’t work at the end, and I’ve been struggling with the acceleration. The feeling on the bike wasn’t bad. I pushed even with the heat, but in the beginning, a rider crashed in front of me, and avoiding impacting him, I lost the group. We will see next week in Motegi.<\/p>\n

Overall, the weekend has been positive, even though I crashed three times, an issue I need to improve. In the race, I made one mistake in the beginning, losing some positions. I struggled in the group, and I crashed trying to catch the riders fighting for P6. This weekend, I’ve been competitive; I will try to maintain this feeling in my home race in Motegi.<\/p>\n

We had quite a challenging and exciting race. In the beginning, Furusato was fighting for the fifth position with Toba. He made a small mistake, losing positions and finally crashing. But today, he was fighting with the podium riders. That mean the podium options were realistic. It’s a painful crash, but he’s ok. Let’s see next weekend. On Mario’s side, he had a complicated race, fighting with many riders, but he never gave up. He tried, and we appreciate his and all the staff’s efforts.<\/p>\n
