In FP1, Taiyo Furusato finished 17th, while Tatchakorn Buasri, protagonist of a small crash, completed the session 24th.
In the afternoon, the track conditions improved and both riders showed a better feeling. Furusato got the 12th place, earning a direct spot into Q2, while Buasri improved to 23rd.

On the qualifying day the rain once again made its appearance early in the morning, during the last practice session, but both Taiyo Furusato and Tatchakorn Buasri handled the conditions well: 5th place for Furusato and 20th for Buasri.
In Q1 Buasri struggled to find the perfect lap and suffered from riding mostly alone, finishing 25th on the grid. In Q2 Furusato delivered a consistent and fast performance and secured P4 on the grid.

The race day was marked by strong winds and constantly changing track conditions. Furusato delivered a solid performance. After the start Taiyo positioned on the second group of riders, but constant overtakes between riders prevented him from reaching the top group. The Japanese rider crossed the line 8th, a good result considering his DNFs in Japan and Indonesia. Tatchakorn Buasri, returning to competition after three months of absence, finished 24th.

Now it’s time to move directly to Malaysia for the last Asian round before coming back to Europe for the final races of the season.

MOTO3: TAIYO FURUSATO #72
Grid P4-Race 8

Today was a really tough race because of the strong wind — especially in the fast corners, the bike was moving a lot. I tried to stay calm and manage my position inside the front group, but it was difficult to make clean overtakes or keep a consistent pace. Sometimes I was close to the top five, but I couldn’t find the perfect moment to attack for the podium. Anyway, it was important to finish the race after a few difficult weekends, and we can take this as a step forward.
The feeling with the bike and team was good overall, but we need to understand how to improve our pace in the last laps. I’ll keep working hard because I know we can be stronger in Malaysia. Thanks to the team for their effort and to all the fans for their support here in Australia.

MOTO3: TATCHAKORN BUASRI #5
Grid P25- Race 24

For me, the race was not easy at all after such a long time without riding. The beginning was good — I could recover a few positions and fight close to the top twenty — but as the laps went by, I started to lose strength and rhythm. The wind made it even harder to control the bike, especially in braking areas and on the long corners.
Even if the result is not what I wanted, I’m happy to complete the full race distance after three months away. This weekend helped me to understand many things again, and step by step I will get back my feeling and physical condition. I want to thank the team for their patience and support — we’ll keep working to improve next week in Malaysia.

HIROSHI AOYAMA – Team Manager

The Moto3 race was really difficult today. The wind was strong, and the conditions changed a lot compared to previous sessions, so we had to adjust the bike settings for that. In the end, it wasn’t about the bike — the riders made the difference today. Both Taiyo Furusato and Tatchakorn Buasri gave their best effort, but it wasn’t enough to fight for the podium in case of Furusato. Still, the positive point is that both finished the race safely without crashes in very tough conditions.
Of course, the result is not what we were aiming for, but this is racing. We need to learn from what happened today and understand what was missing in order to improve. We go straight to Malaysia next weekend, and I hope we can have a different story there — with stronger results and better feelings for both riders.

MIVV PRODUCTS FOR YOUR BIKE

Mivv silencers have been designed for a recreational use of the motorbike.
