After an intense season opener at the Thai Grand Prix, Honda Team Asia faced the second round of the championship in Brazil. The circuit in Goiania represented a new challenge for every rider and team, racing there for the very first time.<\/p>\n

The first day started with wet conditions in the morning, delaying the schedule by around one hour and creating tricky track conditions for all riders, and then became more dry in the afternoon.
\nVeda Ega Pratama was the author of a strong performance, securing P3 and a direct place into Q2. The Indonesian 17-year-old rider confirmed his speed in both wet and dry conditions.
\nOn the other side of the garage, Zen Mitani ended the day in P24, dealing with both the challenging weather and his first experience on the Brazilian circuit, where grip levels were far from ideal.<\/p>\n

The second day was very intense and Honda Team Asia delivered a strong qualifying performance.
\nIn the final free practice session, in the morning, both riders continued working on race preparation but the best arrived in the afternoon. Despite multiple session delays, qualifying finally got underway
\nVeda Pratama got P4 on the grid. The Indonesian rookie impressed with his rapid progression.
\nA solid step forward and a clear progress for Zen Mitani who qualified P15.<\/p>\n

Race day delivered high drama and a historic milestone for Honda Team Asia and Indonesian motorsport. Starting from P4, Veda Pratama showed strong pace early on, battling inside the top 10 during the opening stages. A red flag reshuffled the race, but at the restart, Pratama truly made his mark. Charging through the field with confidence and precision, he executed multiple overtakes to secure a sensational podium finish. His third place marks a historic achievement, making him the first Indonesian rider ever to claim a Grand Prix podium. In just two races, the young talent has already demonstrated remarkable potential at the highest level, and MIVV is proud to support him on this journey.
\nZen Mitani also displayed solid pace in the first part of the race, fighting within the group competing for points. Following the restart, however, he lost ground and ultimately finished in P16. Despite narrowly missing out on points, Mitani\u2019s performance showed clear progress\u2014an encouraging sign for the races ahead.<\/p>\n

Next challenge is behind the corner: the championship continues next week at COTA, Texas.<\/p>\n

I had a good feeling from the beginning of the weekend. When I arrived here and did the track walk, I already liked the layout, and with the bike I felt confident from the start. The team did a really good job with the setup, so everything came together.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m proud to achieve this result. I didn\u2019t expect the podium so soon, but now I know I can fight with the front group, so I want more. Next race is in America, and it will be a new track for me, but I will keep learning and doing my best.<\/p>\n

For me, the first part of the race was quite good. I was in P14 and I had the pace to stay with that group, so I was trying to fight and move forward. After the restart, I couldn\u2019t keep the same level. I lost positions and I couldn\u2019t fight like before. I need to understand where I can improve and be stronger. Next race in America will also be new for me, but I think I will like the track, so I\u2019m looking forward to it.<\/p>\n

It was a very hot and exciting race today. The red flag changed everything, and then we had a short five-lap restart. In that second race, both riders were in a better position to push compared to the first part.<\/p>\n

Veda made a great comeback, overtaking several riders and finishing P3. For a rookie in only his second race, this is a fantastic result. He did a very good job, and the team worked well this weekend. I want to thank all the staff and our sponsors for their support.<\/p>\n
